We now offer a heating, plumbing and gas appliance breakdown cover service which provides 24/7 emergency response for events such as loss of heating or water leaks within your home. With prices starting at the equivalent of just 25p per day for our very comprehensive levels of cover.
Many households have cover for their boiler, central heating system and pipes etc or other gas appliances such as fires or water heaters. Homeheat are now providing more choice to local customers with knowledgeable and locally based engineers who have access to the biggest suppliers for parts. If a call has to be made due to a break down our customers can speak to the engineer who will carry out the repair, and therefore we can sort out the problem quicker and more efficiently.

If you have a boiler which has a flue routed through a ceiling or which passes through another room or cupboard and is covered up then it may need to be checked to make sure it complies with new regulations which come into force soon.
Over the years many flues from boilers which would otherwise be visible have been encased behind panelling or had new ceilings constructed around the flue during building work. There has always been a requirement that these flues should ideally be able to be checked for soundness but regulations will change soon and from 1st January 2013 any affected flue will need to have access points along its length where joints and appropriate supports can be inspected during servicing or other work involving the boiler. Non-compliance with the regulations will possibly mean that the boiler will not be able to be used.
This means that if a boiler flue will be affected by these regulations, the necessary work to put in inspection panels will need to be completed by 31st December 2012. We will be advising customers where applicable of the new requirements throughout this year and can in many cases carry out the work ourselves which will ensure that the boiler flue complies with the gas safety regulations. Where building work is needed to enable compliance we can advise as to what will be required.
If the addition of the inspection panels will create an unsightly appearance within your home and the existing boiler is several years old then you may consider a replacement boiler which would possibly have a different route for the flue and would more than likely be more efficient than your current boiler.

Homeheat recently completed the installation of our 100th replacement boiler.
Since establishing in the region we have gained experience in the installation of all types of boilers, in a huge variety of homes which meet the demands of a diverse range of customer requirements. We have gained a reputation for excellence in our standards of workmanship. We can help with choosing the best solution when an old boiler comes to the end of its useful life or for households that are looking to reduce annual fuel bills and lower their carbon emissions.
Many of the boiler replacements have been installed as part of a new central heating system. As new technology becomes more proven and regulations ever more strict we can now design a system which, through the use of intelligent control packages, can offer a bespoke and incredibly efficient home heating provision. Such functions as separate time and temperature control for different parts of a property; sleeping areas, guest suites or granny annexes for example, are now becoming a requirement and no longer a luxury. These ‘zoned’ heating systems needn’t be overly complex or prohibitively expensive.

The £300 vouchers for over 60s to submit as part payment for new boilers or other heating upgrades are not going to be made available again. We have spoken to eaga plc who administer the vouchers and grants and they have confirmed that due to a reduction in funding the £300 voucher scheme will not be restarted.
We will continue to offer the best possible prices to all our customers and are especially aware that some elderly customers may find it difficult to afford upgrades to their heating. Our boiler scrappage scheme with its £400 discount for eligible boilers still continues which goes some way towards reducing the cost of installing a more efficient boiler which should then save on annual fuel bills too.
