The Homeheat Scrappage Scheme

There are many thousands of old, inefficient boilers still in use in our region. Those of you who live in a home where there is a back-boiler (behind a gas fire) or your boiler has a permanent pilot light and is over 15 years old could potentially save at least £200 per year on your gas bill if you upgrade to a new high efficiency model, this could be more where modern controls are also installed.

homeheat have carried out several boiler replacements under the recent government boiler scrappage scheme and have seen the benefits that customers eligible for the scrappage scheme have received. We have therefore decided to offer a local boiler scrappage scheme which will be run in a similar way to the original and give a £400 discount off a new boiler. To be eligible, customers must fit the following criteria:

1. Own or privately rent their home
2. Have a boiler with an efficiency of below 70% (G rated)
3. Current boiler can be working or beyond repair

This will not be a limited time offer or be restricted to the first handful of applicants; we will run our scheme indefinitely. We will also allow customers who are eligible for other grants to combine these with our scheme. If a government run scheme is reintroduced, we will continue with our own too.

Over 60s

Customers who are aged 60 or more were up until recently eligible for a rebate voucher towards a new boiler or heating system. This scheme is unfortunately no longer available and is unlikely to start again in the future. We will always endeavour to provide the best possible pricing for all our customers. If you are over 60 then we still give a £10 discount off your bill for servicing.
